What temperature does your car run at?

All my previous cars have always ran with the needle right in the middle. My 996 is always a bit passed the middle, is this normal?

Thanks!

Its a loaded question, driving on the highway my car is always dead in the middle of the 8 and the 0.
However, I live in Phoenix and once the temps reach 100 and thats not even hot here the car runs warm unless I manually turn on the radiator fans ( I did the fan hack).
Even with the fans on I cannot stay inbetween the 8 and 0 in stop and go traffic. My car is mostly at the right side of the 0 in stop and go traffic when the A/C is on and its aboive 100 degrees outside.
How's that for a nice unclear reply to your post!

each cars runs a little different as long as your fans come on and the temperature doesn't just keep going up you're fine. I freaked a little last year and was considering removing my bumper and cleaning the fans since apparrently debris builds up in there pretty heavily. People told me what i'm telling you, and i let the car sit on a hot day it hit the right side of the zero, and with seconds it kicked back down to the 8... no biggie.

This is right about the point on the dash gauge when the DME activates the high speed fans.

Sergio, are you sure your radiator fans are operative? You may want to check the fans and/or the relays. That looks pretty hot...

Yeah Dennis, they are working. This was before the radiator cleaning. They were nearly 50% covered! i couldnt even get water to pass through the fins! i spent about 30 minutes n each side using a horse hair bruch and high pressure water. All is good now... running between the 8 and 0.

Sounds good. Mine were pretty crazy when I cleaned them out too. Lots of cigarette butts, leaves and grime, a piece of wood and the label from an Aquafina bottled water. It was interesting...

So today was 47F degrees outside and my temp was above 180, just had D/s Front rad replaced, then car was seeping coolant from the bottom hose. Tech said I needed a new rad cap because system was over pressuring and causing coolant to leak out. Now the car seems to be running warmer then before, and the rads are cleaned and clear. Thoughts?

The only time mine runs hotter than 180 is when I'm pushing it really hard on a hot day, or when the fans are malfunctioning...
