Think I am going to attempt to wrap my car
Hey guys, I have been debating for quite a while and I think i want to wrap my car.. It is black now. I am thinking either white or a matte red possibly?
Anyone have input? Also anyone on here that has successfully done it that can point me in the right direction?
Thanks!

IF you actually mean wrap it yourself...forget it. To do it properly you need to remove the headlights and a lot of other time consuming work. Plus you'll go through 3 times as much wrap as a pro getting it right. Hire it done properly.
Someone here (or on Rennlist) did it recently with very good results, do a search. Personally, I would not attempt it as I don't have the skills or patience.
Sorry DenverSteve, but your comment about removing the headlights is really funny.

I would not attempt this myself. I tried wrapping my side mirror, and failed. It might seem easy at first, but to do it well and with the number of curves on the 911.... I would not try, you will waste alot of wrap.

Dang, you're talking about wrapping the whole car!!! Sounds like a frustrating nightmare to me!!! On the headlight comment, when i was considering painting my hood (after taking off 10 year old clear bra)..the paint shop had on the bid 30 min each to remove and replace the hedlights...so they were gonna charge me an hour labor for something that takes 1 minute! HA!!
i vote to wrap your car matte white, i saw one 996 wrapping with matte white, very cool. i will wrap my car again next year. btw, not hard to wrap DIY. just try to do the easiest part first, step by step.

OT but why did you consider respraying your hood when you had a clear bra protecting it?

Thinking of doing the wife's car as the paint has quite a few scratches and the clear coat having been polished a couple times already.
Main question being which vinyl to get...Hexis, 3M, generic Asian, etc...
The ones who have done it, what did you use?
