HELP....MASHAW vs Porsche

I am getting a set of GT3 mk II Sideskirts, I can save some money on the MASHAW ones, I know someone with a new set for cheap, I can get them for $150 less than Brandywine has the factory sets for....Should I? Are they identical looking? Are the MASHAW fiberglass, or FRP? Are the Porsche FRP like the bumpers or fiberglass? If they are not identical, how is the quality of the MASHAW stuff? Will someone be able to tell the difference after they are painted and installed? Thanks...

I don't know the difference but I would lean towards the OEM for the extra $ to be on the safe side.

It isn't that much of a stretch between both so go for the OEM skirts.

If you come by I can show you the OE ones..

I have used shaw products before and although the fit is pretty damn good, ( better than most of the aftermarket stuff out there)

On the side skirts I would go with OE,. They tend to get more abuse then you think.

I've spoken to Mike from MA Shaw on a couple occasions since i'm still in the market for aero parts. He says his Mk I and II front bumpers and side skirts are all oem, polyurethane not fiberglass. His wings are replicas and are fiberglass. This is coming from him and i do not have first hand verification.

Cool

The paint shop where I took my OEM sideskirts return some of my money because he said the OEMs didn't need much work as the after market ones.

You're getting the Aero I kit I assume. With this you'll need the hardware, strip, screws etc.... I would go with the OEM. On the Aero II kit it's a different set up....

OEM is he way to go, aftermarket stuff is never quiet right and probably reduces the resale value of your car.
