I like these but will have to wait awhile. Question to those who have installed them - do you plan on keeping your OEM tails? I would, because what happens if some of the LEDs stop working and the manufacturer stops making the lights. I don't think you can easily replace the individual LEDs.

Bill, good question, and as for now, I still have my OEM's and don't plan on getting rid of them. But I am debating selling my car soon, want a Turbo S, and will probably give the OEM's to the new owner.

I don't understand why this thread calls the LED tail lights the PDK tail lights. PDK is the transmission... not the lights...

Nitpicking I suppose, but I think about it every time I see this thread...

That's the name originally given by the seller (Cargym) in the original posting, but you're right that's a transmission type not a model

Lost my right Dectane lens!! I have had issues with being able to torque the bolt in the lens and havent checked it in a while.... not exactly something you remember to do.

By the time i realized and went back to find it, It was trashed. All i need is the right lens and dont want to buy a new set. I hope there was a return, defect or mis matched set i can get my hands on.

Rado... HELP PLEASE!

Just wondering if anyone who bought these was having any issues. Mine work perfectly except that when I put on my rear fogs the rear right tail doesn't light up.

All other functions work perfectly and I rarely ever use my rear fogs so its not that big of a deal but if there is a fix or if this is a known problem I would like to know so that I can get mine working perfectly.

I got mine in the REVOMS group buy

So if you turn on your car, put on the rear fog lights and walk to the back, the fogs on both sides are working?

To ensure that I wasn't lying, I just went out and checked them again and both sides are working properly.

There is only one rear fog light on all US spec 996s and 997s. It's on the drivers side. With the Dectane / DEPO lights it's the same. Just one light on the drivers side. You have to start the car, turn your lights on, and then pull the light switch out two clicks to turn on the rear fog. On the Dectane / DEPO lights it just turns on another bank of LEDs on the outer edge on the drivers side.

I did it with the car off last night. I have both a driver's side and passenger side fog lights on my dash, when I turn the drivers side on - the rear drivers side lights up accordingly and vice-versa. I will check it tonight with the car running.

Here is the pic of my Dectane lights from the Revolution Motorsports group buy on my 2001 Carrera Cab. Love them!
