Thumbs up 996 PDK LED Taillight - Anyone got this installed???

I just found this new 997 PDK style taillight for 996. I have waited this style for a long time. Has anyone tried installing them? Any feedback is appreciated. Thank you.

They are gorgeous, and would look incredible on my Carrera 4, but a price tag of over eight hundred dollars is out of my price range. I guess it just depends on your priorities

Those are the Dectane lights from Europe. I have seen them for less that $800, but still very expensive. They are definitely much better looking that the Taiwan LEDs!

Yes, do a search here. I think they can be had for around $500.

Check out my post - I have no affiliation with Pitlane in Germany, but can vouch for their customer service. Pricing is the best - just be aware that shipping can take around 4-5 weeks because of where they are located.

If you want to save money and don't mind the wait - they are great.

On the Dectane site they have them listed for 479 Euro, which includes 19% tax which you won't pay. So if you remove the tax and convert to USD, you come up with about $515 + shipping. There may be cheaper sites.

Saw a set of cheapo Ebay special LED lights on a 996 this weekend. I agree these look a lot better.

It's a super simple mod. The directions to remove a tail light are found in the owners manual in the bulb section. This mod will take you 10 minutes or less.

It will be nice to see how the wide body version of these tail lights looks...

machbx,

Revolution Motorsports is supposed to announce the group buy on their Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/revoms sometime in July.

Their price point is $550-575, and possibly lower if there are more than 15 people in the group buy.
