2005 996 c4s info!

I'm looking at purchasing a 2005 c4s with 12,000 miles in speed yellow. I've never owned a 996. All my cars have been 997's. Any feedback about this car?
What is a fair value?
Performance vs 997?

Love the look of the c4s!

I own one. It's a Tip and loaded, kept stock except for a Pioneer front end with GPS. I drive it year around ( with snows in winter).
In my opinion, unless it's a 997 2009, there is not much difference with the MKI 997. I've tried the latter and I prefer mine.

I agree 110%, I have driven many 997 Carrera S's and went with a 996 C4S mostly because it was $20k cheaper and for the most part felt no different than the 997's. I love my 04 C4S, best car I have ever owned.

Its a classic in the making. No ambition to upgrade to a 997 or 991. So, will have to keep it for a while ;-)

I used to own a 997.1 S for a few years and after I sold it I thought about getting into a 996 4s. Went for a test drive and it felt very similar and actually a bit more sporty. I would say go for it! gotta love that rear end

I test drove a 997 before purchasing my 04 C4S. My 997 buddies actually say mine is more fun (and sounds better thn theirs). I say it's a no-brainer. You will not regret it.

you buying private or from a dealer ?

I would have bought a C4S if I could find one at the time for a good price.

I have a 2003 with a manual and really love this car. Good find, wish you luck. And I drive the heck out of her and she seems to be able to take anything.
