Looking from some feetback on ECU Performance Chip Tuning!
Thanks for your feedback, I have fabspeed cat mufflers installed, X51 Oil pan, GT3 Factory radiator, fabspeed free flow Airbox, with oiled filter, M030 Sport suspension, carbon fiber short shift **** and handbreak and few other things so I was wondering if ECU Ship would be an option.
Cheers.

Yes clearly, I am looking for better gas mileage, more HP and better throttle control, with a resonable price. http://ecutuninggroup.com/ this the company that I was looking into it.
Tell me what you think? And thank you again for following up with me.

Hi Franco,
I'm also looking into this. Price seems right at $650 / if I'm reading the site correct. I've got a modified exhaust (Gundo hack), Fabspeed intake and upgraded over stock filter. I read the reviews for the 996 and people like the mpg increases. Power seems to kick in about 4,000.
My question is with the Gundo, many say they lose low end power due to less back pressure on the exhaust. I'm wondering if any tuning companies increase the low end too?
Keep us posted on what you do and especially if you get it. Thanks.

Hey thank you for your replied. Yes indeed the price is right although I need to do some more research before I jump up and expend 650 dollars.

I am not to familiar with your modified exhaust (Gundo hack) I run fabspeed exhaust and air box.

Reporting back guys!!!
Amazing!
I just plgged my ECU back in and put about 30 miles on the car. Well worth the money spent.
As I understand, this is an adaptive ECU and will “learn” driving characteristics. When i first started the car ther was an immediate feel of smoothness in throttle response ans revved a bit quicker. Snappy throttle to say the least.
Low end seems to be no different, but come 4500rpm and above, the power gain is definately noticable. Nice strong pull with no drop off in power at 6200rpm.
Farzaan and Jags made this such an easy upgrade and dont mind discussing anything with you regarding upgrades or dyno results. I shipped out my box Monday evening, I received a call Tuesday Afternoon saying that the upgrade went well and was provided a return tracking number. Got it back 9:45am Wed…. awesome service!
Let see if anyone else can come up with a comment.
Cheers

Fellas, got my ECM back from ETG out in CA. reinstalled it back into the car last night and went for a drive. WOW!!!! OK, at lower RPMs between 1st-2nd gears to me not much difference. Where the money is, at 3rd-4th gear between 3800-4600 RPMs it just starts to pull HARD!!! It dont seem to level out as much at upper RPM range like before…..I actually ran out of road as i went tearing down the PKWY. I also the cars tone sounds more solid, beefer especailly during start up. It’s hard to expline but if you know your car you’ll know what iI mean. Yes it also feels a bit smoother as you get on it not that Porsches need any help nwith that!! Bottom line well spent money, I’m happy with it and I’m a picky MF’er…
Can you guys con come up with an a good advice?
Cheers

Opinions / Questions on expected gains in HP
I know on a NA 996 3.4 the HP gains are not much for an ECU upgrade.
I have the above with a fabspeed intake, stock filter, modified exhaust bypass (less back pressure, increased flow). With an ECU upgrade and these mods what kind of performance increases can I expect?
What is the best guess of HP increase with fabspeed, mod muffler bypass and ECU. Will I notice increased power at all rpms with the ECU. Can they counter the loss of low end torque created by the bypass?
Thanks for any opinions. Trying to gauge if the ECU upgrade is worth it for me. I run 94 to 95 octane non ethanol gas in every tank too.

Isn't there a place around you that can flash the ECU while it's in the car?
You guys should check out our Fabspeed and EVOMSit Tuning for your car. It is custom tuned to work with our products and will take full advantage of the hardware upgrades on the car. It will wake up the response of the car across the board with about 12+ HP and allow the power to come in a littler faster and stronger in the lower RPM range. It will also improve gas mileage depending on your driving habit. PM me if you have any questions and for Special 6speed member pricing.
Thanks,
