C4S Lowering

Well first I know this has been discussed before, and I've searched the internet but the answers are varied, so here goes.
Looking to lower my 2003 C4S about an inch, I was looking at the Eibach Pro Kit which includes springs and sway bars. From what I've read my concer is putting stress on the other components ie the shocks and blowing them, and now the "floating" issue, my last concern is excessive negitive camber. Car has 31k on the clock and is otherwise in in perfect condition. It's a weekend car so I only drive it 2-3 days a week, no tracking.
Any thoughts? If I wanted to do the M030 where can I get the kit or should I just upgrade the shocks with the Eibach set-up.

Thanks, Jim

Oh any side pics of a lowered car would be nice to see.

I recommend only using the M030 Kit. I installed this kit and love it, no floating issues, car is rock solid and handles great! Try Suncoast Porsche, my whole kit was @$1300.

Thanks, I was thinking that too. Question, the pics on your post, is that after the installation ot the kit or before? If it's after can you tell me what the ground clearance is at the door? The reason I ask is mine looks just like that, so mine may have been lowered by the previous owner.

Thanks, Jim

Pics are after the kit was installed. It lowers the car like 10mm in the front and like 20mm in the rear. Ground clearance is good, no door issues at all. I have speed bump issues but that's because of my turbo.

Bilstien PSS9's is a great deal, but I don't like adjusting stuff, I don't race at the track were you are always adjusting suspension height and tire pressure. I found the M030 to work best for me, daily and aggressive street driving.

The C4S stock suspension is similar to the M030. You need to look at the X73 suspension or consider aftermarket options like Bilstein PSS9 or PSS10.

What do you mean when you state the C4S suspension is similar to the M030? Is the American C4S not taller than its European equivalent?

i dont track mine either but i'm still glad i went with coilovers, i really wasnt happy with the ride height when i first got them (and having since seen a few cars with the springs i was going to get i know i wouldnt have been happy with them) i ended up adjusting it a couple of times until i was finally happy with the ride height, i would have been bummed if i'd spent 1300 on suspension and a grand to install it only to find i wasnt 100% happy with the end result

My understanding is that the C4S and turbo suspension on the US spec cars is similar to M030 in terms of ride height and stiffness. A stock C4S is lower than a stock C2 or C4. I have not heard that ROW C4S and turbo cars have a different suspension.
