Carrera Wing vs GT3 Wing???

My car from the factory with the carrera wing. I thought it was great as I always thought a coupe needed "something" back there

Now I'm considering replacing it with the GT3 wing retrofit kit. I already have the GT3 front bumper and sideskirts, red calipers and porsche spacers. So it'd basically look like a GT3 except for sunroof and GT3 decal on instrument panel. Of course I would not badge it a GT3

I can get the GT3 OEM retrofit kit for $1600 on sale or the Misha GT3 wing for $900. I am really torn so I'm going to do whatever this board votes (I've been wrestling with this for a while)

n.b. I am a big OEM freak so everything on the car is OEM even though at times I've had to shell out extra cash for OEM(spacers, SSK, etc...)

The wing you have is by far my favorite. Did you install aftermarket or was it put on at the factory?

I have the same wing. I was pretty set on getting it replaced with something a bit more aggressive. However, over time I've come to appreciate and like it more. Subtle, but still different.

I have yet to make a final decision myself, but I'm definately not in a hurry to get it replaced...at least not like I used to be.

Although your car looks great...I think it looks a bit unbalanced due to the aggressive front and sides...My prefernce would be to bring the rear of the car up to speed with that regard. So the Misha wing would look great. OEM is always nice, my old rear wing wasn't and it looked great.

Dealer added the wing to the car and set it up in their showroom before it was sold to anybody.

I would leave it as is. That wing is perfect for your current setup. Unless you get new rims and lower it, an aggressive wing like the gt3 or misha would look out of place. If possible:

1. Lower it with coilovers
2. rims
3. Misha wing

At least lower it before wing.

Nice. Still like your current wing, if you must change go for Misha. I can only picture the gt3 wing on a real gt3.

Misha told me his wing and the OEM GT3 wing are identical...

Misha does make a replica gt3 wing. I thought you were talking about the one that looks like a gt3 base with a gt2 blade. That's the one i see a lot on here.

no that one is a little to "wild" for me I'm looking at just the plain old GT3 replica.

I started thinking about it the Porsche OEM retrofit kit comes with all this extra stuff to help with the installation:

I don't know if the extra $700 might be worth it??? Also, Misha's just replaces the spoiler part whereas the OEM replaces the entire rear decklid??? I can't really tell. This might be an advantage to the OEM.

But...I'm wondering if the airbox seal that alligns with my current spoiler would allign with the retrofit kit - it must I'm guessing.
Regardless, I'm keeping the carrera wing in case I don't like the new look

Is the Misha wing as durable as the OEM? Has anyone had any problems with them?

If they are both very similiar I would go for the Misha. Does anyone have a url to look at them?
