Not that I've ever been aware of. There are a few after market options.

It all depends about you as a driver. Do you check your tire pressures a lot, etc. I personally drive my cars pretty hard and like the idea of knowing sooner rather than later if I have a puncture, so in my next tire swap I'm putting some in. Now the trick is, where can I mount the monitor to make it look nice and stock.... hmmm, not a lot of options...

Cheers
Aaron

1) I do not believe so.

2) No. Buy a good tire gauge. Less $$$$, less complicated, and far more reliable.

If I remember correctly model year '06 was required to have TPMS In 20% of all passenger vehicles with complete phase in in '08. Check on your build sheet to see if your car has it. My '04 Cayenne had them.

I know my 04 did NOT have it. My 07TT does and it sucks. It is off by several PSI and there is no way to correct it. It is good to know if you have a tire going down but that is it. I think there was an aftermarket one made by Orange the was very good.

As the original owner of a 2001 C2 coupe, I can tell you that TPMS was neither standard, nor available as a Porsche factory option. I would not add it as an aftermarket item. As others have said, check your tire pressures regularly.

I have a digital gauge that I bought from www.getagauge.com, and it is the best I've ever seen because it is both accurate and allows you to bleed down the air to the desired pressure. Also buy the spare tire extension which makes it easier to check your spare tire pressure.
