The title pretty much says it all. I'm cleaning up the interior and want to make sure I'm using appropriate products on the correct areas.

Well from what I've seen there must be 2-3 leather options. Full leather is the dash, door panels, rear panels from what I can think of. I also saw a TT with the HVAC dash vents individually wrapped in leather. Part of some other package (?) Its pretty obvious whats leather and not though if ya look.

Thumbs up

My car has full leather and it covers:

The dash and gauge pod covers
The door panels
The entire dash
The seats (front and back sides) (but I now have sport seats)
The rear seats (I think this was a separate option code)
The rear quarter panels
I think the sunroof overhead "pod" is also leather covered

My hazard and ignition rosettes are leather, I think this was another "exclusive" option

I think my center vents are leather covered, another "exclusive option" but the side vents are not.

I also have a suede headliner but I believe that was standard.

Has anyone converted to full leather using a upholstry shop or other means? (aside from the obvious-buying oem leather parts)

I realized that there is a difference in appearance between the parts that are flat out plastic, but for those of you that don't realize it most "leather" in seats in vinyl. Only the portion of the seat that you actually sit in (center, not bolsters or back) is leather. So my question is more about what parts are actually leather skin and which parts are synthetic leather (vinyl coated textile).

Good question. I'm positive the standard seats that I sold a while ago were completely covered in leather, front and back. I remember dragging a fingernail against the seatback (accidentally) and the leather was lightly scratched. The sides were also leather.

Don't forget there are the front vents, center (rear) console and even speaker grills.

The only place my car does not have full leather is on the center console.

Give this a shot. I think it has a mistake or two, but is mostly accurate.
