Coilover springs

I'm looking for a used set of pss9 coilovers for my 1999 996 C4. Will coilovers for any other models work as well or do I need to find some specifically for a c4. Turbo? C2?

Also, is there anything I should watch out for and what should I expect to pay?

My budget is very tight.

A friend of mine just installed PSS10 on his 996 C4. Cost was close to $3k. One of the advantages of this set-up is you don't have to jack up the car or have those special wrenches to change the dampening. It's all done by turning a ****. No guessing on the setting either because the adjusting **** is numbered. No counting threads. Remember to have your car realigned after you have them put on.

I'm in the same boat with a 2000 C4. I'd like to hear some opinions on this. Which really is the best bang for the buck.

Do a spring, or lowering, search and you'll find a lot. Most of us say no, some say do it.

The front coil overs for a C4 are different than for a C2, not interchangeable. As for a TT set or a C4S all the 4 wheel drive sets are the same basic configuration but the spring rates are different. Keep an eye on eBay, they come up once in a while.
