Love my C4S but the interior....
Bought my C4S in completed the preventive (IMS,Clutch etc.) right away. Then I moved to suspension and wheels and a little tint. Extremely pleased with the way the exterior looks. However, my interior is starting to bother me. I want to replace my headunit for a double din Pioneer or something similar that has all the iPod, Nav, Bluetooth etc. options. I'm also looking to replace my seats. Looking for something a little sportier but they have to be able to fold down. So if you have any suggestions please let me know. I'm familiar with the different headunits but I'd like to know what works with our cars with minimal difficulty. I'm pretty clueless about the seats. I don't daily drive the vehicle so hours of comfort aren't necessary, but I don't want something too firm.
Open for suggestions!
Thanks!

Congrats on the purchase. I just got an 03 C4S 2 months ago. I too find the interior to be lacking. So far I have painted quite a few pieces of the interior trim to the exterior seal grey color to try to spruce up the interior. I love the OEM sports seats but they have proven to be difficult to find in grey color. What color is your interior? I have seen several black sets for sale. Another option is to get the 997 seats which should fit and will fold forward.
I have just recently complete a stereo upgrade with a Kenwood DNX9990HD. Given you have an 04, you will need to bypass the MOST system by adding your own amp in addition to the headunit. I did use an adapter AUTOLEADS PC2-95-4 in order to tap into the factory speaker wiring at the amp so I did not have to cut any wires. Let me know if you have any questions. Good luck!

I've also got a Kenwood system (a different model) and it's great. I replaced my amps and speakers too.
I agree with the thoughts on sports seats. Black sets come up for sale fairly often online or through salvage/resellers. You might also consider having some custom leather work done by someplace like Dallas Steering Wheel. They can do work on just about any interior panel. Another thought is to buy some custom painted pieces as mentioned above. Try www.bumperplugs.com for consoles and I terror trim.

GT4- can I ask who did your stereo work and if you must PM approx. pm please do so! I dont think I need something as robust as your Kenwood but a small change might not hurt..
Also to the OP- a steering wheel will help either from Dallas, or an upgraded alum or carbon factory porsche one. I also painted a some of my pieces brushed aluminum, and have over time picked up pieces in CF , its currently a combination of both but looks well since the CF shifter and brake also has silver in them.
Keep your eye open at times alot of stuff pop up or if you want to spend alot of $ many vendors offer alot of pieces in CF or even alcantara.

I actually did the stereo install myself...since I love to take the car apart and put it back I have some old parts lying around from previous cars so I just recycled the parts. Here are some photos of the install before I upgraded to a newer headunit. Let me know if you need any help.

Rockyfd, did your car come from the factory with the black sports seats? I have the same grey color interior but never thought to get black seats to give the 2 tone effect. Looks great!
