Looking at a 2002 C42, have some doubts
Nicely done..congrats.
The one item not addressed in the thread is the manky ***** on the stereo head unit. Common issue. Two fixes:
1. Buy new ***** from becker autosound. In the US a pair is about $25 plus shipping. OR
2. Buy a can of black Plastidip, remove the ***** from the head unit and "plastidip" them a couple of times, letting each coat dry. This works fantastic. A can of this stuff at the local Home Depot is about $6.
Enjoy the heck out of the new ride.

Congrats!!!
Just a word of note: The car changes its character completely at >4k rpm.
and I have found it hard to get it to go sideways on dry roads as the AWD takes over.
and it is great in the rain, again the AWD acts so the tire with traction takes over.
Good luck. ask questions of the board, we have experienced all you will.

Got it yesterday around 1pm, went for a quick blast on the highway, parked it and had to get back to work. When I went to take some pictures for the "official introduction", I noticed the radio would not turn on
(was working fine when I left)
Back to the dealer. Nearly two hours later, they found the culprit: blown fuse located on the back of the head unit itself. They had never seen that happen before and stumped them for a while
Hopefully this serves someone in the future.
Took the wife to a party last night and still paying for the "celebration". Pics will come sooner than later. Oh, and the kids were ready to go to school 20 minutes earlier than normal and even changed their regular wheeled school bag to softer backpacks so they could fit better in the frunk. Their faces as they took their bags out of the frunk this morning at school was priceless
