trailer hitch 996?

Does anyone know if it's possible to put a hitch on a 996? If so , does anyone sell one? It would be used to tote small trailer with comp. tires for track/ autocross.

Thanks

I've seen a 996 on one of these many Porsche forums with one on there. Sorry I can't give you more details, but I can at least confirm it's possible.

Once upon a time I knew of a website that sold this kit for Boxsters and was told it can easily be used on a 911.

Do a Google for "Boxster" and "trailer hitch" and see if you get it that way.

I assume this hitch would work on the 996 Turbo the same?? I see you are pulling a jetski which is exactly what I am thinking of doing, any problems doing so??
Thanks,
Evan
PS- Do you have an extended tounge trailer?? You don't have any problems getting off teh ramp with RWD??

Dont you have a Cayenne for that?!!!!!!
It would be sad to see a hitch in the back of that beautiful car!

Do you have access to a Large SUV of Pick up?
If so, rent a car trailer from U-Haul, put the race tires on at home, throw the car on the trailer and you are off to the races. This is what I have done and it works great. (And you have space to bring your street tires/wheels in case of rain)
If you don't have access to one, you can also rent a pick up from U-Haul.
It seems crazy to me to add a hitch on the back of any 911. My 2c.
Good luck either way.

Parents won't let me use the Cayenne every weekend to pull my jetski around . THat is their main vehicle so I can't have it sitting at the water all day... This was about my only alternative .

WASSUP Bryan, give me a call somtime to let me know how your doing!
Evan
