M3 faster than a 996 yes.. M3 faster than a 997s 3.8 no.

tracked both cars..extensively

I must say that the M3 is much easier to drive at the limit in the high speed corners( than a 996) like say turn 8-9 and Big Willow...

However the 997s is faster and equally as good in the fast sweepers.. The PSM is amazing.. virtually fool proof...

Just my .02 cents...

stock, NO.

If the M3 has mods (4.10 gears, headers, full exhaust, intake, chip), they will be close, but...

3.8 is mighty!
