Due the selling of my car, I collect now all the things to bring it back in original state. I found now, that I am missing the rear bottom seats. Now I have chance to get complete rear seats from 997 for better price and so I ask here, if someone changed them and if they fit in.

I doubt it. The dealer said there is more room in a 997. I am guessing seats are different

I put a set of 997 rear seats in my coupe... absolutely no problem. A direct fit! Don't know about a cab.

Did anyone ever figure out if the Cabrolet swap is identical as well? I'm about to do my front seats and would love to do the rears as well!

 

I replaced my front 996 and rear 996 cabriolet seats with 997 fronts and rears and they fit perfectly. Fit is great and they are sleeker. I did need to rewire the fronts, but since the 997 seats were just electric reclining and heated, I was able to make the reclined work on both.

As an aside, it is important to have the Durametric so that you can reset the airbag codes.
