Spacers just in front - would it work?

I uppgraded the tyres on my Porsche 996 2001 from 265 in the rear to 285.

The thing is though, I had spacers on the car Before. Running 15 mm both in the front and rear.

Allthough I had my fenders rolled the spacers would not fit when I am running 285, so I have to get rid of the spacers at the rear.

The 100 dollor question is, can I keep the one in the front or should I get rid of them as well? If i keep them what happens to the cars handling? I like the look the car have right now, so I would prefer not to get rid of them.

I reccon that the cosmetic view will be 5mm diffrence from today.

(15 mm front and rear with 265 in the rear. Going up to 285 will make the tire 10mm weider from both sides, and loosing the spacer will cause 15 minus = 5mm diffrence)

The car is lowered with 30 mm H&R springs.

you will get mixed points of view on this. i think it is ok . i like a wide stance in the rear and a more tucked look up front. the wider the track overall should improve performance.

I am running 5" spacer up front none in rear due to aftermarket wheels with winter tires with no issues.
Needed to due this as front wheels were hitting calipers.

We use spacers to adjust minor handling of the race cars in spec classes. It's subtle but works and sometimes spacers just up front/back/or both depending on the track. With that said, yeah try it out, you won't know until you try. Post a pic and let us know what you think.

Ok, thx all for the replys, I guess I´ll go with Sleek996´s adwice. Try it out, post some pics, and if it dont work remove the spacers.

I´ll be back with pics as soon as I get my rims back.

Its weird, seams like the 1999-2001 (mine is 2001) can´t do that spec, max limit is 285, maybe maybe 295, byt on the year 2002-2005 you can go weider

I don't see any reason why running them just up front would harm handling. It's not to say that it won't affect the dynamic at all, but I have had several customers run just a 7mm up front to reduce some gap and reported no issues doing so.
