Good question.
Akkurat PGI (board sponsor) is having an open house on Friday Nov. 21 in Menlo Park. It is also a gathering for the PCA group. You could stop by.
You could also join PCA and get involved with that group - they always seem to have soemthing going on.

I am filming the 30k service on a Boxster and 996 at the same time for the next set of DVDs. Also a brake pad and fluid change on a Boxster, but I still need a 996. Any 996 owners in the San Jose area who need brakes - send me an email.

I do not always announce, but telephone or email the people in our group involved in making the DVDs. Jeff

Hey Jeff,
I got my 30k parts now (Plugs, filters). We still looking at Saturday? I will also bring all my oil and filters. You guys gonna have something to catch the oil? Should I bring anything else?

Bring beer.

Aileen has the 30k parts for her Boxster so we will film your 996 and the Boxster 30k service side-by-side. I will bring my oil drain pan, jack, and all the tools. You had better be good with a wrench for the camera. We don't call Aileen 'Madam No Fear' for nothing and she might finish the service on her Boxster first. I will firm up the date in a few days.

Still need a 996 for when we film the brake pad replacement on a 2.5 Boxster. If I cannot find a 996 by this weekend then I will do it on a Boxster S since it has the same brakes. Jeff

How about a 30k service for a 993? I'm getting close to having to do mine.

If you can make Jeff's work on car Saturday's then do so...you won't regret it. Jeff's knowledge is second to none. Plus the crowd tends to be pretty big, so lots of folks to meet and mingle with. Jeff was nice enough to help me install my carbon fiber hand brake and shifter at the last one I attended.

Jeff - Wished my car needed brake...I'd be happy to volunteer. Perhaps next time.

I second that. Those gatherings are great and the people are great. Jeff's knowledge is amazing. I've only been to one gathering and just in that one I've learned so much more about our cars. I've become very good at taking apart the interior thanks to Jeff and Madam no Fear.
