my996 is infamous around these parts
My concern would be about all the other stuff that would be compromised - not just the motor.

When Todd at Evo did my dyno this spring he said he was coming out with a built M96 for higher boost that would use the same Vortec SC with a smaller pully for 500+ hp. He was working on an exchange program, and I forgot the manufacturer he was having do the motor work. Anyway it does show that somebody out there is working on these motors. When you look at the GT3 motor and its rediculous cost I have heard quoted plus the necessity to change gearbox as well it makes these motors look dirt cheap. I wonder if the 997 motor will fit a 996? Will

Can you get more information for us, this would make the EVO SC a *very* attraction option! Imagine a low comp. engine allowing even a few more pounds of intercooled boost*** That would blow the doors off a GT2 @ 500+ HP on a <3000lb C2
