Question about side skirts for 03 Coupe...

I'm trying to determine the correct part number for the older "Cup" style side skirts to order for my 2003 996 Coupe. These are the older, more rounded skirts as compared with the newer GT3 or "Cup II" style skirts which have the razor-sharp edge.

My dealer tells me that the part numbers for the rounded "Cup" skirts are 99655998001g2x and 99655998101g2x, however he says those are only meant for cars up to MY01 and that they don't come with any mounting hardware.

The Tequipment catalog lists another number of 000-044-802-05 for what appear to be the rounded skirts for MY02 and newer cars, but the dealer is unable to find much info about them in his computer (he's going to have to check with Porsche directly on this).

For those of you who have MY02/03/04 cars who have the "Cup" rounded skirts, can you tell me what part numbers you ordered? Was any additional mounting hardware required?

Thanks in advance,

Longhorn911

This is what you will need:

For 911 Carrera from 08/01
000 044 802 05

Thats the Porsche side skirt kit for your car as listed through Porsche.

I've called Foreign Affairs on three different occasions about pricing for various items for my TT and I have never once received a call back from them! The latest was last Friday when I was looking into availability of a CF seatbelt outlet for my cab. I guess they're just too busy with other people to return calls.

If I was you, I'd call or e-mail Gert at Carnewal. He's also a board sponsor and his service is second to none.

Curious why are you choosing to install the Cup I over the Cup II ... I think the Cup I look better... We will see in a couple weeks what the 04 GT3 Wing looks like with the Cup I Aero kit. I am excited to see!

Also that is weird that F.A. is unresponsive they hounded me for a couple of days to pick up one of the GT3 Wings when I inquired. Fast shipping, well packed, it was a great experience overall! This was my first purchase from Bob I picked up the Wing, Litronic lights, and B&M SSK. I would highly recommend his business prices could not be touched too.

I have purchased 4 times from Gert at Carnewal...He also runs an excellent business. He is amazingly resourceful when it comes to parts. Fast delivery and answers all your email questions quickly. I think I cought him one night at 1AM PST we exchanged 20 or so emails. He showed no frustration and answered all of my questions. Again another Board sponsor that Highly recommend!
