New guy here, converting 996 into 991

Hi all !

New here on 6speedonline. I have a 996 C2 -00 and during the last 8 month I have converting it into a 991. Well it uses 997 fenders and hood and a 991 bumper for 997 from WickedMotorworks. Now I'm just at the finish and have to get the headlights working. So here's where all you porscheguys come in. I need your help

I need help getting a copy of the electric diagram of the 996 headlight (xenon)

And if any one of you out there has any knolage of converting a 996 into 997 and how to rewire the new headlights, please tell me how you did it.

I'm posting a picture of the kit as it arrived to my workshop last fall

And the car after a new paintjob last week

Kind regards
Richard

Side skirts would even things out IMO. It seems too front and back "heavy" the way it sits now.

+1

Skirts would help with the flow of the body work from front to rear. Some modern and perhaps larger wheels would help too. There are plenty of 991 replica wheels for sale that would improve the 991 look.

+2, sideskirts and bigger Wheels are a must! Might even concider some 997 mirros to get a more complete look

thanks guys
Well I'm not completely finished. Sideskirts and new and larger 991 wheels will come in the future, but this has cost me just a bit too much right now thanks to the thugs at WickedMotorWorks.
I can only tell you. . NEVER DO BUISSNES WITH THEM. Knowing what I know now, I whould have gone a completly different way.

I bet it did cost you a small fortune, especially being in Sweden. How did they end up shipping something so big and fragile over there? Did you have to pay import and duty taxes on too of that?

Normally I would make some comment about why you would spend the money to do a 991 conversion but being in Sweden exempts you as I know even the basic 996 models can cost quite a bit if I'm not mistaken.

Care to share your experiences about Wicked so no other members have to go through it?
