Fellow members, any recommendation of a porsche shop in illinois, that can work on my cars ecu? My car had no problem with the test a couple of years ago, took it this yr but it got rejected. My car is a 2000 c2 with a tpc supercharger and I guess my ecu has been flash. All the monitors are indicating not supported except for the o2 sensors & comprehensive component. Anyone with the same experienced pls help, don't know where to start. Thanks
I would simply head to your trusted dealer or mechanic and have your car evaluated. That's why it's important to have a dependable dealer/mechanic in case of emergency - or failure to pass emissions - since most emission re-inspections are required for registration.
Thanks for the feedback, i'm in niles. I used to bring it near by my place but closed down, i want to bring it to a porsche specialist. I guessed illinois changed the test this yr cause my car passed last time with the same setup. No cel but most monitors are unsupported. Car runs fine and fun to drive, just sux i have to go through this now.
I would call fall-line motorsports or midwest eurosport for starters and see what they each have to say.
Fall-line is out near buffalo grove (used to be closer to you), and midwest is near ohare

Here she is, it's slate grey metallic. I called Eurosport but they said they don't work with ecu tunes, I'll try fall line then. The guy told me my monitors are unsupported and have my mechanic take a look at it. I was surprised coz I passed last time.

Are you using "unsupported" when you mean incomplete?
The Illinois test checks that all readiness monitors are set to *complete* and the CEL is off. The test does not rely simply on whether the CEL is dark) and that there are no error codes, a query is made of the DME and the status of the CEL is confirmed that it is set to "off" or "dark".
The readiness monitors can require some driving to set to complete. I can't describe the exact drive cycle but it doesn't involve a short high speed run down the road and back. There is some idle time, some city driving, and then some steady speed boulevard/highway cruising time in there, as well.
You can buy an inexpensive OBD2 test tool that will let you read codes and check if the readiness monitors are all set to complete before you go in.
If somehow with an aftermarket "tune" the readiness monitors have been set to unsupported that for this MY car are supported -- and the testing agency knows -- then the "tune" will have to be updated with one that brings the readiness monitors back in line with the stock readiness topology or you will have to explore going back to a factory DME flash.
Going back brings with it the risk the now supported readiness monitors may not get set to complete or even one or more error codes could be recorded and the CEL turned on due to the effects of the super-charger.
Do you have a check engine light? I am in Wilmette and I have a Durametric Professional version with unlimited SN's. We can always read the codes, etc and see what shows up.

This is probably your best bet for initial diagnosis.
