HELP - Failure Spoiler Control
HELP - Failure Spoiler Control
I need help.
I installed Misha's wing along with the GT2 wiring harness and I am still getting the warning light.
Any ideas?
I have read all the previous threads regarding this issue. I thought I would be avoiding the problem by installing the GT2 harness.

Tal, been there , done that, got the t shirt.
If you are not using a brake light use harness 996 612 070 51, cost 48$
If you are using a light, 996 612 070 04, cost 100$
This will fix your problem, the other fixes seem a little awkward to me. Good luck, the only other issue I had with the wing was high speed/track instability, fixe4d after adding a TT front lip.

Check your connections, should not alarm at all, mine didn't. The battery is worth a try.
The ~51 harness is the carrera wing harness, not the GT2 harness, not sure if that makes a difference, pn's are different.

If it was more than 50$,it was the wrong one. Porsche always marks up the prices. The ~04 harness is identicle to the C4S aerokit harnes, the ~04 is 100$, add C4S to the name and the price is 354$.
If your connections are not tight, the relay circuit/bypass circuit for the retractable spoiler won't work and your car will think it still has the retractable unit that is failing.

Tal,
996 612 070 51 is correct wire harnesses that you should use with my GT2M wing.
As Chris mentioned check your connections and if everything is OK with harness itself the light shouldn’t be on. Also try disconnecting the battery if the light was on before you use 51 harnesses.
This is OEM harnesses for fixed wings without the light and nobody had problem with them before.
