Question Advice: Tire Slime. Anyone use it?

Hey guys,
I have 315/25/19s on my car. A tire that is (now) very hard to find and back ordered for weeks. The problem is I need a 25in diameter so finding the right tire that won't rub is difficult.

Last week I got a very slow leak and drove on the tire. It ended up damaging the sidewall and it could not be fixed. This is how I got to learn about this problem. Naturally now, I'm concerned about getting more flats/leaks.

Have any of you had experience with Tire Slime: http://slime.com/category/sealant/tire-sealant/ ?

I don't track my car but when I do take it out I generally have fun (>110mph, >6K rpm).

I don't think I would keep it in the tires as a preventative but would stock this stuff in the car and use it (with the pump) once I got a flat.

Thoughts? Opinions? Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

IMO no...if you use such a product you still need to get the tire fixed and you'll need to remove all of it out of the tire.

I would avoid that stuff like the plague. Once you use it, it will be all over the inside of the wheel and the tire shop will charge you by the hour to clean it all off. If you get a flat, use your spare tire, which you luckily still have in a 996 (as opposed to 997 and 991's which don't come with a spare).

I would also avoid it and use it only as a last resort. Meaning if I was in a Mad Max type scenario and was getting afraid of getting gang raped in the middle of the desert by creepy punk rock looking hoodlums.

The slime that sticks to the inside of the tires can prevent tire shops from doing the most accurate alignment in some cases. Especially if you plan on going fast(85+ mph) vibration free.
