My name is Cory. I live in NH and Im new to the forums. I have owners a couple of 986 Boxsters in the past (1999 and 2000) and just had the opportunity to pick up a very inexpensive 996 Carrera. Its a 2001 with really high miles (149K) but I got a good deal on it- Have a hard top for it as well. It does have a noisy lifter- so I figure if the engine blows up while trying to fix it or while driving it, Ill still be able to make money on it with a part out. Car is blue with Savannah beige interior, Lightronic lights, aside from the ticking she runs and drives amazing!! Looking forward to reading up more on these cars. I have a fairly good understanding since my uncle has always owned 911s. He passed away a couple years ago and left his 993 (my dream Porsche) to his son, my cousin.
Congrats I just bought my first 911 after owning three boxsters and like you bought it based upon the fact I got a deal. So far I dig it but it's a Porsche so hard not to. will say even if only after a few days I think I still like the boxer better LOL
Nice car but you look a little young to be driving, maybe in about 10 years
As my mechanic says they're bullet proof so i'm sure you'll have many miles of driving to come. Welcome to club 911, how do you find it compared to the Boxsters?
