i have a 2003 Porsche C4S tiptronic and i have noticed that it never shifts into 1:st gear when in tiptronic mode. Neither when starting driving or when driving slow at slow speed etc.

When using the manual option it works fine and I can shift to 1:st gear but not when in automatic/tiptronic mode. Have done some search but not found any with the exact same issue. (i have only had the car for short time)

 

that's normal in tip & manual mode. I guess it has something to do with fuel economy. That's why i prefer driving in manual mode.

Yes, as designed. I have noticed that after backing up it will go into first gear automatically.

 

When it's cold outside, I noticed that my Tip goes into first as well ( in auto mode)... Looked it up in the manual, it's designed to do that
