Rennline Semi-solid Motor Mount Review

Santa was kind enough to bring me and my 996 some Rennline Motor Mounts. I won't get into the install since there are several great write-ups already posted. The motor mounts come with three different bushing choices ( Red-race, Blue-sport, Yellow-street) which you can mix and match for a total 9 different combinations.

I went with blue because I drive both street and track but didn't want the ride to be overly harsh.

As many others have experienced with motor mount upgrades the difference was immediately noticeable. Shifting is much smoother and less notchy. The power application is also more immediate. I find that vibration at idle is actually less than with my stock mounts. The shake in the passenger's seat is now gone. I do notice a slight vibration from the rear between 4K - 5K rpm. Overall, I would say the car feels more stable with less slop in the rear. The mounts have changed the personality of the car for he better.

The fit and finish are exemplary as one would expect from a Rennline product. I would certainly recommend these without hesitation especially at this price point. With the 15% Christmas discount they came in at $300.
