Still trying to solve me turn signal situation (not working).
I have a friend who i haven't seen in a while who can probably
fix my problem.. he's asking me if I can get a wiring diagram
for my 1999 996. Showing ANY information for the lighting wiring
(signals etc...). If there is a diagram with OHMs etc... that will help
him also.
Does anyone have that sort of diagrams/info. they could post?
I am getting tired of looking at my car and not being able to fix my
situation. I've tired everything. Now I'll leave it up to him reading
the diagram and testing the OHMs etc...

Latest update... Called my normal Porsche mechanic that I go to from time to time.
He said the wiring diagrams he has for the 1999 996 are so convoluted (from Porsche)
that they are spread over a few pages, not color coordinated wiring and very very difficult
to follow. Since I know the guys at my local Porsche dealer, I asked him if he thought they could help me. He told me that porsche does have a "program" for mechanics, but it runs several thousand $$ a year, and the schematic that they'd provide me with would be just about as helpful as the one he could show me. Impossible to follow.

Is anyone familiar with the 1999 996 wiring diagram? Does one exist? I typed that into Google yesterday and couldn't find anything after looking for about 45 min. Surely there must be something available. ??? Anyone?

Todays update:
Just looked though Google, searching this: "1999 996 Bentley wiring schematic".
I swear I found every car know to man, including every single Porsche model, EXCEPT the 1999 996 blinker wiring schematic. Would anyone have a bentley book with that blinker wiring? I've replaced the Hazard switch (tied to the blinker) and also the blinker relay (driver-side kick panel). There MUST be some other thing that has gone bad. Arrrgghhhh

 

Well... learned to download a torrent this weekend off the internet to get that wiring diagram. Now I have the (NICE) wiring diagram for the entire car! Nice. My problem should be solved soon. When I find out what the issue was, I'll post it... as I'm sure someone will run into the same issue that I did. Where replacing the hazard switch AND relay (in the lower kick panel) doesn't solve the problem of blinkers not working.
