CR-220 makes blip noises

Hello, I have a 29k mile 2002 cab with the CR-220/Bose/CD changer system. Last year, my radio started making random blip noises. No real rhyme or reason, just sometimes it makes a few blips and then stops. It has happened whether I was listening to the radio or CD. Doesn't matter if the top is up or down. I tried searching this forum and others, and found no answers. Has anyone experienced this, or know anything about it?

Thanks

When you say blip, is it coming from the speakers? Could be a broken speaker, that's where I'd start.

It doesn't come just through just one speaker. It is an electronic blip noise, kind of like what you would hear with an alarm or radar detector, just not as high pitched. And the blips are in quick succession, like "blip blip blip", then it is done. Drives me crazy, sometimes scares the crap out of me.

Sounds like interference, could be your cell phone, an outside electrical line, etc..

You may have an aftermarket laser diffuser or radar detector installed somewhere.

Installed radar detector was my first thought because of the noises. I searched all through the car and can't find one, if it is installed. There are no diffusers, i looked in the front bumper cover. Not inside of it, but the diffusers need to be exposed.

You could still have a radar detector even though you can't find it. I have a stealth-install by the previous owner and I have no idea where it is. A radar detector doesn't need to be exposed for it to work. You're correct that a laser diffuser does. My rear laser diffuser is built into the license plate frame and the front is recessed into the bumper. You should be able to see them if they're there.
