SQUEAKY front end...?

Ever had this one? Out of nowhere, my front end started squeaking. Embarrassing sounds at low speeds (like rolling past crowds of people staring at your sweet, crappy sounding ride at the drive thru).

Steering left and right. Any bumps big or small. Sounds like a rusty spring'd horse buggy!

Struts rebound perfectly when I lean on them. No performance issues when steering or driving. Just noisy as hell. Anyone know what I'm up against? I've already replaced the Engine this year, and the tires, the brakes, the paint...

Check the control arms, the bushings can go bad.

If it only does it when steering or going over the bumps, you may also want to check the sway bar bushings. Usually only aftermarket tend to squeak but anything is possible. Are you lowered by chance?

Thx, guys. I have narrowed it to R side only. It may be control arm, but the sway bar will need to be checked too.

I'd bet on the ball joint in the wishbone/coffin arm. Unfortunately it's not replaceable on the stock arm so you'll have to buy the arm complete. I'd also recommend doing both sides, as the other one will probably start squeaking shortly...Also, if you've got any rattling from the front end, check your top mounts... Good luck

I've been having similar loud chirping sounds as well over the past month. Took it to my suspension guy and it turned out to be worn strut top mounts. Three turns of the top strut nut and the annoying chirping has resolved. Still have to replace the top mounts which will run about $1k including alignment!!

It's a bad bushing.

I'm betting on sway bar bushings.
