Anybody using a coilover besides PSS9?
nice pic of your car in the "hood"
looking very gangsta.
i ended up ordering a set of pss9's. i know they may not be the best out there, but they seem to fit and work well for a 90 percent street/10 percent track ratio. from what i gather they have the best street ride while still being competent on the track.
not to mention i got a pretty good deal ($1950 shipped) from a licensed bilstein dealer. i found them online and called the retailer to check on inventory. they made a mistake online and quickly changed the price back ($2200), but offered them to me for the $1950 shipped. i figured i wasn't going to do much better than that, so i went for it.
newport: the info i got this morning was from Keith at Bilstein East. he is their pss9 guy i guess. he dind't say they woudln't work, he just said the spring rates were designed around the coupe so the overall handling results would be a little different for the cab based on the extra couple hundred pounds. i'm sure the one inch max drop is more of a suggestion on their part. seems like everyone on here has them at least at 1.5" with no probs.
thanks for the advice guys.

Also, I have the C4 Cab, so its the same as the Turbo suspension...so it is a different kit designed for more weight and the AWD system...I think you will be very happy....Let us know what you think after the install...
i called bilstein again to double check the max lowering height. they said 35mm front and 25 mm back. boy, that's not much, pretty much the same as your typical lowering spring. i wasn't planning on really going any lower than that, but i don't know how you guys are getting away with 1.5" drops with this setup.
My understanding of the max drop height thing was it had to do with the PSS9's availble stroke. Lower than suggested puts it out of "optimal range". I've never bottomed the suspension even with ****ty New Orleans roads. I don't crawl over stuff either.... make it or break it, I say...

LOL- not sure on the total amount dropped. I told the installer to go as low as the rear camber adjustment would allow w/o eating tires. The ride is a huge improvement over stock. More firm but asorbs the bumbs better too. I'm sure my stockers were worn with 60k miles on them though. I am having an issue with pushing the front (sorry for the motorcycle term- understeer?). I'm thinking anti-swy bars will fix that problem. ...or maybe it's a driver related problem?? Overall I'm very pleased.
