Fun for your 3.6L Supercharged Guys!
I always knew the 3.6L cars were quick with the EVO Super Charger on them but I'm suprised as to how fast in real life... I spoke to Todd@EVO over the weekend and he himself (trust me he's no drag racer!) took his 3.6L 997 Super Charged car to a local Arizona drag strip (bear in mind the alitutude stunts mph and times considerably) and the car did a 12.1 @ 119. Very impressive numbers indeed. Considering he was driving and that it was in Arizona (the launches weren't super hard either so there's room for imrovement) at altitude I think it's safe to say that car really can go 11s!

Finally! That's the number most of us have been waiting to hear ever since we first heard about the SC development project.
Great trap speed.
For real bragging rights, give the car to an experienced drag racer, kiss goodbye to the clutch, and see what she'll do when driven hard.
I'd guess a copy of the timeslip from one mid-high 11 second pass would boost sales tremendously.
(hee hee. Geddit? 'boost sales'. Sometimes I'm so sharp, I cut myself)

Seeing as it was Todd's own car and that he's more into the road course stuf and not big on drag racing I know he took it easy on the launches.... Give the car to me or another drag racer and we'll dump the living crap outta the clutch and hopefully pull 1.7 60 foots and some high 11s
(11.7/11.6)

Was the 997 stock except for the SC, or were there
other things done to it......gotta compare apples
to apples if you are comparing it to a stock turbo.
Wow, the first concrete documented results of what the EVO SC'ed package will do. Good stuff. I wonder why they didn't do the same test for their 996 packages!? (Although it would seem to me the results should be identical if not slightly faster for the 996 3.6 being they're a lil' lighter...)
What "other" supporting mods were done to this 997? Or was it completely stock expect for the SC kit?

PS: Anyone here run their 996TT's on THAT same track? (stock or modified) At 1300+ feet I know cars suffer worst than the "correction factor" suggest sometimes. Plus, we don't know what the traction is like on that track unless we have other 996's to compare it with.
