Hey Gang

I am thinking about 19's for my 01 C2. But am unsure of the wheel and tire widths that are possible on the C2.

Any suggestions?

most popular size would be 8.5'' front & 11'' rear. the offset is the key.

 

What is the rcommended tire size?

 

235/35-19 & 305/25-19.

Won't rubbing occur with 305s in the rear dropped on coil-overs (pss9s)?

 

i said it in the above post. the offset is the key. no rubbing when the car is lowered.

but back on subject, Tim, I think the wheels will look good. Very different look than the usual "norm" of rims out there (bbs, hres, iforged, etc)

 

I thought so to. Has the twist similar to stock but a nice lip to.

Arling, what would the optimal offset be in this case?

 

less or equal than ET40 in the front. less or equal than ET56 in the rear.

if u decide to run 305 tires on a 11'' email me again. when i say less or equal it really means equal & not much less.

 

56mm with an 11" wheel? stock is 65mm with a 10" wheel... that would be pretty far out with those specs. equivalent to adding a 22mm spacer to the stock wheels -- don't think many people would want to do that... aren't we talking a narrow body C2?

 

Not to burst your bubble, but the 996 NA suspension is notdesigned to take 19's. You'll need some serious allignment just to get it close to specs. 19's produces lots of bump steer. Not to mention the weight savings...

Get some BBS LM's....... or get vince at iforged to make u some sick custom wheels...
