New Front Bumper Cover??? - Opinions Please!

I am planning on replacing the front bumper cover on my 1999 996. I don’t want to spend too much $$. I have looked at a used Ruf cover and of course there is the Porsche Aero cover. Opinions?

Also, I like the shape of the car without side skirts – would it look funny if I got a new front cover and didn’t add the matching side skirts?

Thanks for your comments.

I dont think the TT will fit on a car befor MY 02+, well it will but you have to change fenders lights, and light trays...if you want oem.

you can get aftermarket Turbo bumper that will fit the pre 02 lights. It bolts right up.

I would go just go with the Turbo aftermarket since you don't care for the skirts..... If you do like the skirts but just don't have the money right now for them I would recommend the Aero so you can upgrade later.....

My .03 inflation.........

if those are your only 2 choices then i would get the Ruf bumper cover. the oem aerokit1 bumper cover is nice but it's kinda stale. you defintely should get side skirts to match whichever bumper.

Adam,
a bunch of us on rennlist are getting a group buy price from DPS. Hit me up if u want more info. i have no affiliation with them, but its a real good deal if you want genuine OEM. I believe Dayton is also ready to release a poly GT2 front bumper that'll fit narrow bodies.

Thanks for the info.

I am actually just looking for the blk plastic lip on the bottom of the GT3 RS and Cup car. Is that an addition that can be bolted from underneath?

Thanks

here is a gt-2 front bumper on a 02 narrow body car

I would also install the side skirts.

I have a NRauto rear (turbo look) bumper that I still have. I will make you a great deal on it. It is sitting in a garage collecting dust.
