Throttle hesitation in ’98 996 C2 Manual cable throttle, I need your help!
Hi everybody, last week I decided that the 997 needs an older brother. So, I bought a 996 C2 Manual with the cool cable throttle, I would also like to mention that it is a beautiful spec, incl. M030, sport suspension and seats, LSD, 996 turbo wheels etc. So, I am excited to say the least. BUT. I noticed a throttle hesitation issue.
When I say accelerate by pressing the pedal up to 80% all is fine. But quite frequently when I give it the full beans it stutters and hesitates. At 4,000 RPM and above. As an example, when I accelerate on 2nd gear up to 7,000 RPM at 50% percent and then shift to third and press the accelerator to 100% it jolts and stutters and I feel as if not only I pressed the throttle at 80% but rather 40%. It seems like a fuel delivery issue. Would anybody know how to solve this or where it is coming from?
any codes coming out? maybe also check and see if the fuel pressure is where it needs to be. could be a sign that the pump is about to fail. there is quite a bit of stuff it could be thats making it sputter a bit on full power
