Auction 996 Purchase

Thank you all for your help in my quest to purchase my first Porsche. I have a broker I have bought a couple of cars through in the past working on getting me a car. My question for you members is this I believe I can pick up a 2002 996 C2 with PSM with most of options except Nav system for ~ $38-40K with around 38 -40K miles. Sound reasonable or should I expect to pay more. He really doesn't buy Porsche's so that's why I want to have a good idea going into this ahead of time. The auction isn't until the end of the month so I have sometime here for feedback.

Thats pretty decent price ... get a PPI done to make sure the car is mechanically sound! Hell if you pass it up, I might consider it. 02+ are breaking into the high 30K range...

$38K is *stealing* it with the mileage range you're trying to be in...I would say you could safely buy a clean 02' with 38-40K miles for about $41-42+K. I just saw two 2002 C2's with 38K miles & 29K miles go for $42 and $45.5 respectively in manheim auto auction yesterday. Prices are going up now that spring is here basically.
