99 996 c2 throttle body removal

While removing throttle body, I must have hit a small coolant hose right below the left side bottom screw on the throttle body.

the hose was attached by a plastic nipple. Unfortunately, that plastic nipple broke off inside the hose. Please see pic. I have no idea what this is for so no way to identify it. There is a strange clamp on the hose which I can’t figure out how to remove

Where you see the coolant oozing out, there was a plastic nipple extending out about 1/2”

I forget what this is called but it commonly gets brittle and breaks, there is a aluminum version available from pelican parts as well as the original plastic one. Make sure you look in the hose on the other end and remove as much plastic inside as possible.

Hope that helps.

Thank you!!!

Based on your reply, i bought the aluminum version from Pelican only after ordering the plastic piece from Sunset Porsche.

Amazing knowing that Porsche would actually put this plastic piece on their engines.

thank you so much for taking the time to respond to my question. I owe ya!

Glad I could help. While your in there take the time to inspect your other hoses and the coolant expansion tank. There is also a small t piece plastic connector down in that area.

over the years I have had to replace all of these. They all get brittle with age.
