Be wary of Autohaus AZ
Long rant - Cliff Notes - You may not get what you pay for and their customer service is the worst I've ever encountered.
I ordered a genuine Porsche coolant tank ($483 including tax) from AutohausAZ. They sent me an aftermarket tank instead. Their website suggests filling out a customer service request form online rather than calling them. Good luck even finding their phone number, which apparently they man for just a few hours Monday thru Friday. I filled out their online form four times before anyone ever acknowledged my inquiries. They emailed me a label to return the tank and I dropped it off at FedEx.. Two weeks later still no acknowledgement of any kind from AutohausAZ despite getting a delivery notice from FedEx. I again filled out their online "Customer Service" form and again got no response after multiple attempts. Today I finally got through on the phone and the rather condescending agent told me that the tank I received was a Genuine Porsche tank. It definitely wasn't a Porsche tank - no mention of Porsche on any packaging, no Porsche part number found anywhere, and it came with a cheap black cap. As my local Porsche parts guy says "Everything is ala carte with Porsche". The customer service agent insists that it's Genuine Porsche but I must be confused because they have changed their manufacturing. That was it for me. I demanded a refund and he said it would take about a week to process. I told him I was going to file a complaint with PayPal and hung up. I guess that got to him because when I went into my PayPal account it had just been refunded. So now my car has been sitting for two weeks due to Autohaus' incompetence and I have to order the tank from somewhere else.

Alternate to Autohaus
Bill,
Sorry to hear about your recent experience. Was this for your 996 Cab? Back in '19, you may recall I replaced my coolant tank because of motor problems. I sourced it with a Porsche one from Pelican, who have become my primary parts supplier. With their periodic PCA member discount, the price is always right (I recall paying significantly less than you did). They also usually have non-OEM choices as well.
Appreciate the heads up on A AZ though.

I quit buying from Autohaus AZ back when I had an older Mercedes and they shipped me the wrong fan clutch. I got a refund but only when I paid to have it shipped back.
I found Pelican before I acquired the 996, and they are a great supplier. Integrity and customer service.

Sorry t hear of diasappointing service. Just received a clutch slave (Sachs, not off brand) and 2 L ATE 200 brake fluid for same cost as Vertex and others for slave cylinder alone. Have always found them cheaper than others with OEM-level parts, shipping sometimes a little longer to east coast.
I'll add a little more information about them. I gave them a bad review on Yelp. The owner (Stephan) made some nasty replies and blamed me. After a few back and forths, he deleted all of his replies and replaced them with one that said "Sorry for your trouble, we'll look into it". If you check all of the other complaints against them, they all end with the same "we'll look into it". I'm pretty sure he had similar nasty interactions with all of the other complaints too.
