Exclamation Steering Stalks Replacement

I know there have been a few posts related to this, but I wanted to provide a more recent thread and ask for some feedback. My turn indicator stalk no longer holds for right, and won't release for left. I know I need to replace with this part (https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/9X6STA.html). Has anyone done this and can provide some feedback on how easy it was (video I'll follow linked below). I'm not gunna lie, a little terrified of working around an airbag. Thanks in advance.

just be sure to unhook your battery first. other than that its fairly straight forward. only real item is to mark your steering wheel alignment/location as well before taking it off.

Replacing steering stalks ...

I believe you have to wait 20-30 minutes after disconnecting the battery for any residual electrical charge to dissipate. That is supposed to minimize accidentally setting off the airbag explosive charge.

I read this in the service write-up when I was contrmplating replacing my turn signal assembly. Haven't done it yet though because the part is so bloody expensive.

Suncoast had it for $299 just the other day. Pulled the trigger. Looking for PCCM+ now too, but can't find for less than $1450

Ive done this, twice, trying to get my 2 lower stalks to work. I also had the turn signal "break" and not click back due to a plastic piece breaking off inside the signals. It was a cheap fix, bought the replacement stalks on eBay, but as said above, mark the wheel. I have tried ten times for the life of me to get the wheel back 100% straight pointing and its about 97% straight now. OCD would kill someone, I have learned to live with it since its just too difficult to keep removing to try and get it straight.
Also, not sure if its related, but I have another thread going since the lower two stalks on mine for the computer and cruise no longer work wince replacing. I even replaced the whole 4-stalk unit twice to ensure it wasnt a bad part -no luck. My clock doesnt adjust now either. Not sure what I did or how this happened, but prepare.
