TechArt rubbing issues!

Hey,

I'm having some rubbing issues with my 295/35 ZR18 Michelin Pilot sports mounted on my rear TechArt 10,5" rims, I think the guy before me bought the wrong offset wheels or something

Plus the Michelin Pilot Sport seems to have some sort of a outer lip that protects the rim and that makes it look a bit ugly and also adds even more to the rubbing issue..

I'm ordering new rear tires today and I wanted to see if anyone have some input on this issue? I was thinking of going with 295/30, that makes the tire 2.8cm lower (1.4cm upwards of course), that should be enough to solve the problem right? Or do I need to go down to 285/30 instead since the wheels sticks out a bit?

My car is a Carrera 4 -04 with the X74 package!

Thanks again guys!

Yes, 295/35/18 is too big for your car. 295/30 should work fine if offset isn't too extreme.

Slowpoke,
can u give me a part number so i can tell which wheel u got? the tire u have now is obviously too tall but i wouldn't order any tire yet til we find out which wheel u have. Techart has many different sizes, offsets. PM or send me a mail if u need further help.

Arling,

First of all, thank you for taking your time to help me!

Second, I just went down to the garage and didn't see anything (rims mounted on the car though). As I said earlier, I bought theese rims brand new and then had them mounted on the car before pickup.
I then went for the 3 hour drive home with my new car alone, later on, forst time with a passenger in the car, it rubbed like hell I thought the X74 was supposed to be stiff so I didn't react to them being so wide once I saw them on the car

It must be the 10,5 18" rear rim with the 42 offset, the 60 is more "inwards" (excuse my English) right? They really do look really aggresive from the rear, the 295 Michelin sticks out like 1 cm from the body, how do I attach pictures here, I can snap a few ASAP down in the garage if you guys want to see what I'm talking about?

Also, I don't know how to find the correct size/offset with the wheel on the car???

Any ideas?

Once again, thank you so much!
