Put the cats back!

Undid the new exhaust system yesterday, took out the cat bypass I installed , and put the stock cats back on. Now we’re cooking with heat!! That hideous sound is gone and I got back all the lost low end torque. It sounds much, much better. Now for the flash and I’m good.

Anyone want a good deal on a very slightly used set of Fab Speed cat bypasses?

I hear ya (pun intended). I'm not digging the sound either. Too raspy for me. The final straw was a friend saying, "damn , that sounds just like my nephew's civic". He might as well have kneed me in the nads!

HAAAAAAA!!! Oh, man, is that ever right on. I'm telling you, that little bit of muffle from the cat is just what it needs. I just came back from a little cruise along the beach and I am all smiles

I'm still thinking about trying out the stock mufflers with the cat bypasses. Might make for a good combo. Add some restriction and addional "muffling".

you've heard it million times if you've ever been near a ricer with a coffee can sticking out from under his near stock civic try to race his buddy's Corolla (same coffee can).

That is what I have on my 993 and it sounds perfect IMO. I told you guys those bypass pipes with headers & exhaust were loud!

The volume I like. Just wish it was deeper (less raspy).
