Bay Area folks : 93 octane or better ?
Bay Area folks : 93 octane or better ?
A few years back it used to be easy to find 93 from the pump.
Now I can't find any.
I continuously hear rumors of 93, 95 and even 100 right out of the pumps but no one ever seems to know first hand where these places are.
Where do you guys get better than 91 ?
I'm in the South bay (Sunnyvale), but would be interested in anything in the Bay Area.

100 octane @ 4.85 / gal (or thereabouts). I had a fun ride back.
:-)
Yes, Almaden and Foxworthy 76. I am less than 1/2 mile away from the station. I usually do a mix, around four to one. 100 octane used to be $4.00 a gallon less than a year ago. give it a another month and 91 will be $4.00. "Thank you "W", may I have another please"

i guess you got a quick replacement for that first bum unit.
Yeps Simon, that's the same place I use off of Foxworthy/Almaden... Sometimes they are out so don't always count on it...
Karlooz, yups for some reason the Vortech unit was making some noises like the bearings weren't right. Either way it's back at Vortech's place being looked at and another quiet one is in...

I remember us talking about PSS9s... however the more we've installed these JICs on C2s the more I'm liking those. I'll see if I can get you a ride in a car with those too. However, PSS9s would be much softer for a daily d...

lovin mine but i think i am getting used to the added power
i've gotta do something about it... hmmmm.....~however~
i have an oil accumulation problem. oil vapours are being sucked into the intake from the crankcase breather hose and is accumulating onto the intercooler. apparently this is a common problem with turbo'd/sc'd cars. found a whole lot of info on the internet. i am fitting an oil catch can this weekend. i'll post my findings.

yo sharky, i HAVE found out it is a fact of life with boosted and high HP cars but i can't live with the fact that the intercooler is clogged and there's a pool of oil in the intake and boost hoses. have you checked your pipes/IC lately
