How much has everyone paid of PSS9's installed and aligned for an 01 C2 Cab? Suggestions in Socal?

Call Arling at Lucent....Awesome guys and they do great work....install includes 2 alignments, 2nd one 30 days after the install so it can settle....

 

Had some PM request for info so I'll post.

I looked at multiple places for the least expensive 996 PSS9 kit. The cheapest I found was on ebay for $1885. I noticed the seller's website so I went to the site bimmerparts.com which is Zygmunt Motors Online. On the website the PSS9swere listed for much more. I called the site and told the person on the phone I was interested in purchasing them and that I saw them on ebay. He said he would honor the price from ebay. He said a lot of dealers mark up more for Porsches but they have a percentage markup they do for all parts regardless of whether it is for a Ford or a Porsche. He did let me know however that Bilstein was raising their prices and the dealers would do the same. I just got a Performance Parts catalog and they are listed for around $1990. That's the second lowest price I've seen.

I would get the best prices you can, then check around for install prices, then call Lucent and get a package price for parts and install including 2 alignments and corner balance. They are Bilstein dealers as well as a great shop with great techs...they will install, give you 2 alignments...add all that up and I am sure Arling at Lucent will give you a great deal...I have learned that if you nickel and dime and pinch every penny, you get what you pay for in the end...here is what I mean. I found a new set of PSS9's on ebay, never installed at a local LA shop, actually a block from Lucent. They were ordered for a C4, but never picked up and the guy backed out ...long story, but the shop just wanted to get rid of them. So I bought them for $1400. Called around for the lowest install price....there were a few that were cheaper than Lucent, but Lucent was compeitive and they offered 2 alignments at their price...which was a bargain for 2 alignments. Thats important because with PSS9's if you change the ride height, you need to do an alignment. After about a month it will settle, and you may want it a little higher or lower....you get the chance to do it....included in the price...Now back to my car, I decided to go to Lucent because Arling was very helpful with the purchase of the PSS9's and new about them since the shop was a block from his. I took it in, there were pieces missing from the PSS9 kit. Now I didnt buy it from them, BUT they went into one of their PSS9 kits canabalized it for the pieces I needed, stayed until 9pm at night to do it on a Friday night...and never charged me a penny more. On top of that I have not had ONE issue with the PSS9s or the install in 2 years. They did an awesome job, knew what they were doing, and treted me like a king....great guys....
