Question Impression of the Gemballa Exhausts

A buddy of mine has Gemballa exhausts for his Boxster. How are they on the 996? Sound good, loud? Good quality?

Thanks,
STS

I just ordered one and received it this week. I will be installing on my C4 today. I have heard they are more throaty, and a WOT are just symphonic. Overall, they are supposed to be louder than stock, and more agressive.

Awesome, I am hoping for just that, ideally, I was hoping that under modest throttle it's not too loud, but when at WOT it would be more of the old racing 911 sound.
Thanks again!

In a coupe the exhaust is not very loud, but its sounds awesome at 4K and above. Can still have a conversation without raising you voice. No resonance... If you want a nice sound, not to loud..., nice tips... this is it. Becarefule of the headers, the manifold are thinner than stock ones, so the bolts bottoms out at the engine casing... It feels like your tightening the headers but in reality the bolts are bottoming out on the engine case. I used washers to compensate for the length. This however was my experience. I also did the GIAC flash with evoms intake, at RPM Racing a month ago. Im just starting to feel the difference... not much of a difference at first but the more I drive, it seems to be waking up and feels more responsive. I'm happy... Dont expect drastic changes though.

I just installed the gemballa exhaust and tip on my c4 and WOW! it sounds great. it really does sing from 4k up. WOT leaves me speachless it sounds so good. Throatier thoughout and much throatier at idle. When im in a gear tho, and i punch it it feels like the car just pushes more, does anyone else have this experience with gemballa or any other exhaust company. this is my first exhaust on my c4(or any car for that matter as im just getting into the modding of my car) and just wonder about it. i feel like there is just more go with the new exhaust. is this what i should be feeling? anyone else have experience(s) like this?
