Newbie Here.. with a lot of questions!!

Whats up guys and girls? Well hopefully I ll be able to sell my e46 325ci soon enought and get into the P-car level. I ve always been a fan of them and I m in the market for a regular carrera. I cannot afford the turbo version even thought they are sooo amazing looking

I was wondering if the turbo bumper or techart front bumper would fit on a non turbo or jsut a regular carreras? same as well for the rear bumper. I m not going to be poser and put turbo stuff but I personally think they look amazing. The front bumper is very mean and same thing for the rear bumper jsut clean and simple. Also any information I should know about the carreras such as LSD?HP? easy to tweak more HP out of it or not? feel free to help me out with any suggestions.

Here are pics of my current 325ci with some mods (not all show )

1st off, nice 3 series that looks sick
well if i am right the oem turbo bumper want fit a regular carrera because it is not a widebody, but u can get replica's that will fit a regular carrera, like i think a company that makes it is called "mashaw" or something like that. I think techart makes something that will fit a narrow body...
hope i helped a little

Thanks a lot. I ve been researching and reading and what you said is completly true.

Now whats the main difference between c4 c2 etc? how can i tell the difference? also I was going to purchase an m3 but like you see, I got a lot of mix and match m3 parts with non m3 parts and my car just as fast as an am if not faster so it wouldn't be right to go to the same car again and redo the mods again.. It will be boring.

The Porsche, got its own name and fun to drive for sure.

A normal C4 wouldn't be a wide body. Best thing to do is go drive both the C2 and C4 they handle very differently very different feel and driver feedback. I have the C4 I really like the feel and IMHO I think it is worth the extra weight over the C2. Good luck on your search this is the fun part!

The OEM turbo front bumper will fit 02-04 C2. The OEM rear turbo bumper can fit a C2 with some modifications. My car is an 02 C2 and i have turbo front and rear bumpers.

nice E46...

Why dont you look for 02+ becuase they have a Facelift, facelifted interior and a 3.6L motor which has VarioCam Plus. If i were you id look for a 2002+. Goodluck

As do I own an 02 C2 with a turbo front bumper on it. It will fit. Just make sure you get the new bottom eyelids to fit the new bumper.

Front bumers are interchange-able. . .
Rear bumpers are not if you're swaping between C2 C4 & C4s Turbos GT2 or GT3 (at least not without cutting).
Are you sure you wouldn't rather make your jump to the M3? Big difference from what you have.
What's your budget look like, it would help when making year and model recommendations here.

Good Luck,

-Eli

Me too. My C4 handles like its on rails. The grip is AMAZING. its nice to be able to have that stability if you want to drive in the rain, although i rarely do, thats what my SUV is for. I agree, drive both and see how u like them. good luck!

Edit: the 996 C4 was not a wide body car. The 997 C4 AND C4S however BOTH are widebody cars. so there is a difference from 996 to 997, so dont confuse them.

hi guys, also a noobie here hopefully going from an m3 to a porsche ^^ just wondering if you guys can help me out decide on whether the 01 c4 or 02 c4s would be better? saw couple posts which pretty much says the 3.4 to 3.6 liters isn't that much of a difference... so i am wondering if i can get more imputs as to what differences they have other than what we can see on paper. thanks so much
