Silver Hood Crest Picture

Just got a new camera (Canon EOS Digital Rebel) and took some shots of the car. Thought I'd share a picture of my Silver Hood Crest.

This is a 3072x2048 Picture!

OK, back to learn how to use this camera...

Kirby, can you post a front view shot before and after the silver crest. Mine is also AS and I am considering the silver crest. Want to see the contrast of before and after.

So far so good with the camera. I'm not that good of a photographer and this camera sure helps with taking good shots.

There is a lot more to learn than my older point and shoot camera...

Any tips for taking night time and indoor shots?

Kirby - I'll send you the bill for my silver crest LOL
on a more serious note though: how do you like the EOS rebel digital?? My Canon powershot S300 is just not cutting it anymore and instead of a point n shoot I htink I wanna go the SLR way. IMO Canon makes the best cameras and I was contemplating the digital rebel as it is not too expensive (like the EROS 1D or 10D) and has enough megapixels

A friend of mine has the 10D and my take on the cameras is...

The EOS Digital Rebel is good enough for the average to slightly above average photographer. Because of the low cost it makes a great starter SLR camera. It fits all the same lenses the 10D can and the pixel count is the same. All its missing is some custom features that I’m not used to in the first place so I won’t miss them.

The 10D I think is for the more serious photographer and the price is significantly more. It does not come with a lens like the Rebel so you’ll have to buy one of those also which brings the cost up even more.

The reason I went with the Rebel was because it was an SLR and can use a ton of different lenses where as the Sony 828 (8megapixels) cannot change lenses. The cost $999 and that includes a lens (not the best lens, but good enough to start off with while learning the camera). It was rated high on many sites and magazines. Canon is known for making great cameras.

All my shots are done with a Canon Eos 10D. Similar to the new Canon Eos Digital Rebel. The secret is in the EF-D lenses designed specifically for digital shots. The one I use cost over $1500 but it kicks ***.

Here are some shots with my 996 CupII and KParis Techart Turbo.

A great, hi-res picture to start helps but of course PhotoShop makes them really shine.
