Wheels offsets.
Im looking at a set of wheels that have 50 mm front offset and 48 mm rear offset. I know the front is the same as factory but will the rears work? i know factory rear offset is 65 mm, but will 48 mm work? if not what size spacer will i need? thanks in advance.

You only need spacers to push the wheels out, not in!

PorscheC4,
I think you misunderstood me.
The 48mm offset wheels will when mounted will extend 17mm farther out (wider) than the 65mm wheels without any spacers.
Newport996 (my brother) brings up an excellent point. What are the widths of the 48mm wheel and the 65mm wheel. It could extend the wheel even further!

You've got less than a 50% chance that they'll work. I'm running a set of 997 Carrera III's on my '99 C2. The rear offset is 57mm with an 18x10 wheel and it doesn't look like there is another 11mm to spare. If the wheelset is local, try it before plunking down your money.

Wheel Offsets
The rears at 48mm won't really work. I bought a set of wheels last fall with 50mm front and 48mm rear to run on my 2000 C4. The rears rub over bumps. I rolled the fenders so the rub a little less, but they still rub. I should note that the rear tires I am currently running are 265/40-18, the standard on 997's with 18" wheels, not the 265/35-18 that is standard on a 2000 C4, but I think they would still rub with the 35 profile tire. It is possible they might work with a 30 profile tire, but I am not sure. I just bought another set of wheel with 52 front and 58 rear. They should work, although I might add spacers on the front.

18X8.5 F with 52mm offset
18X10 R with 58 mm offset
What do i need to do, if anything to make these fit my car.
will put 235/40 ZR 18 on F
will put 285/30 ZR 18 on R

PorscheC4 - Believe me the 48mm rears are for a widebody, not for a narrow body. I made the mistake of buying them and now have the rubbing problem even with rolled fenders. With a 285/30 they won't rub as soon, but they are still out 17mm from stock and when the suspension is fully compressed you will probably still rub. The 58mm will work with the tire sizes you listed. The 10mm difference between the wheels is too much. Maybe someone else here has tried to run a lower profile tire on the 48mm and can tell you otherwise, but I really don't think they will work.

Strange... My 1999 C4 (narrow body) works perfectly, and looks just right, with the combo you want. No rubbing.
Rear wheels are stock 10x18 ET65, with Porsche OE 17 mm spacers in the back. (effectively 48 mm offset/ET)
Tires are stock size 265/35, Pirelli Assimetricos or Dunlop Super Sport Race. The Dunlops are significantly wider than the Pirellis, but still no issues.
Suspension and wheel adjustment makes a big difference. My Car has ROW 030 suspension and I run approx -1,65 deg camber in the rear.
Ps. Wide bodys run 11 inch wide rears with 48 mm ET. These will not fit a narrow body.
