need help with passenger seat...

the seat itself is all the way down on the lowest setting (not the seat back), and it wont come back up. Normally its quite like the driver side when Im bringing the seat up, this time is noisy like a compressor sound. Anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks in advance

There are three or four motors on each seat (for full power seats). Each is mounted to the seat base and connected to the rails with a plastic housing for a cable drive mechanism. Sometimes these plastic housing and their attachment pieces will crack/break and the cable drive no longer engages. A preety simple fix, new drive cable and housing is only about $20 from Sunset, but you need to remove the seat to see if this is the problem.
