speeding got pulled last night.....

last night, i was driving on Valley BL, L.A, CA. rush to dinner with my friends. Actually i was/am always a safe driver, don't really
speed, but that night, i was late due to class, and all my friends
were laughing at my slowly porsche , that was why i speeding.

ok, i was following 1 accord, and 1 acura, they were speeding as well. and then i changed the lane and accelerated to 60MPH, (speed limit was 35MPH). suddenly i found something flashing in my rear mirrow.

"Dame! Wut The F**K is my Escort SOLO 2 doing" that thing was just keep silent...

I turn in a plaza and stopped, the cop came and told me turn off the engine.

i sat there and look innocent:" wut's wrong sir? wut did i do?"

cop: give me your licence and i'll let you know.
me, handed him my Wisconsin licence and California temperary licence.( yea, i'm just came L.A half year ago)
cop: look at both licences and felt confused. "sir, did you were speeding? tell me wut's the speed limit on Valley."
me: i think its 45MPH. (i look pretty sure. ) Well, i didn't watch my speed, and i was following those Hondas, why you pull me??
cop: well, yes, they all speeding, but i can only stop one car everytime.
me: sir, you should pull the first one tho.. otherwise everybodys gonna rush to the first next time... bla bla bla .. (i kept explaining)
cop: i know you got a high performance car, but that's not the excuse to be a bad driver.
me: ok, you know what? i got a date, and my girlfriend is really mad right now because i am late. (i thought i had seen this dialog before..wut a good reason to speeding)
cop: that's a good excuse, but you still gotta sit here and wait.

he turned around and walked back to hes Ford.
me: (what the...)

i waited for him like 10 mins, and finally he walked back to my window.

cophe looks pretty mad) " listen, kid. you got a break today. You'd better not let me see you next time or i'll take you over! you got a break today!" he throwed my licence and temp. licence back to me and walk away...

i was so confused as well but anyway i got NO ticket...
i think he didn't know which licence to copy that's why he let me go .. is that true?

Allen.

Allen,

You should be careful in Alhambra or was it Monterey Park area (if that's where you got pulled over). There is quite a large police presence in that area, especially on Valley.

Try getting a Valentine 1 or a Escort Passport 8500. But even if you radar detector did not go off he wasn't using radar, but visually noticed the excess of speed.

mine is the exactly same model as Passport 8500, the only difference is the wireless. mine is using battery.

i checked radartest.com, and come back with the result of Valentine 1 doesn't beat Escort 8500...

Radartest.com is sponsored by passport I believe. All the magazine test sz valentine 1 is better.

I am not biased, I have 8500( and it did'nt go off last week when I got pulled over too)

But the wireless version to save power turns it self off, that is why you need a wired detector to be the best bed. Look for yourself. Cordless Radar Detector
